President Trump Welcomes Loved Ones of Injured Guard Members to White House
President Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that he has asked the loved ones of a Guard member tragically killed last week to attend the executive mansion.
He noted that he conversed with her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

US army specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a shooting on last Wednesday in DC.
Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains hospitalized in serious condition.
Vigils across the state have occurred in their memory.
White House Offer
The commander-in-chief said he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both members of the West Virginia National Guard.
“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a hard experience, come to the White House. We’re going to honor her,” the president informed journalists. “And similarly with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Mourners came together over the past few days at a local school in the state to remember Beckstrom.
Both the soldiers had been working with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s national effort to aid public safety in DC.

She carried herself with quiet strength, a contagious smile and a optimistic attitude that encouraged those around her,” the principal, the principal of her alma mater, stated to the press. “She was kind, considerate and always ready to support those in need.”

Officials have accused a 29-year-old suspect with a charge of murder and charges of assault with intent to kill while armed.
The tragedy led the administration to halt asylum applications and temporarily stop granting visas to holders of passports from Afghanistan.
Status of the Airman
Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, began his service in 2019 and is a graduate of his local high school, according to the Associated Press.
He is still undergoing care and is “fighting for his life”, the state’s governor the governor stated on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.
Attorney general Pam Bondi stated on Fox News Sunday that she planned to visit Wolfe’s family.
Legacy of Sarah Beckstrom
Beckstrom, from her hometown, graduated from Webster County High in mid-2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a military police officer with honor, according to the state guard.
“She had a lot of goodness and she definitely had bravery,” Morrisey addressed the gathering at the service. “Though her time was cut short, she has left a mark that’s going to be remembered always.”
