Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
